Best friends!!!!

BEST friends has always been a complication in my life.. because .. making friends has always been an obsession for me. But turning them into best friends ? It never happened..!

Well, I heard my friends, colleagues, class mates etc always talking about their best friends a lot.

My friend Ravi Shankar says, his best friend's name is Hari. Hari is a best friend because he always invites Ravi to his beer dancing parties a lot and spends him lots of money. And Ravi considers it as the best of all the friendships he had so far! Because Hari does some thing which no other friend of Ravi did. " Spending money!"

In the same way, I heard many other reasons why people convert friends into best friends. Some of them are,

Sharing secrets,

Honesty,

Hookah,

Long drives,

Bikes,

Cars,

Talking about Porn,

gmail,

facebook,

orkut and gtalk etc!

Well, every one has their own definition of having a best friend. And they have their own reasons too. But for me, I found no reason to make best friends.

All the other friends of mine who made best friends, they were needy of something and when they found some one who can fulfill their needs, bingo!! They got a best friend..!

I was stuck in a deep ambiguity because, I was very desperate about having a best friend and sense it how that feels like to have one. At the same time, I had no reason to find a best friend, because I am not needy. I have everything I wanted..

Figuring out the above confusion I spent years together trying to understand what will fetch me a best friend. I was finding a reason to have one.

One day, I found my self a reason. The reason is quite strange, which is NO REASON!! I wanted to find out some one who has similar qualities like I do. And make me their best friend for no reason. Give me some unconditional friendship and like me for what I am , ultimately liking them selves!

And I started my search , and one day I found a few of them.

They are , Sree Ram Sagar, Praveen , Pavan , Praveen A , Pavan Tupuri , Swathi Mantripregada and Bala Krishna B.

The above mentioned people are not new ones for me. They all are already my friends. But they are special in some way to me.

Sagar , praveen pavan and praveen A . We five studied together in the same college and some connection keeps all five of us connected all the time. If one of us gets hungry and feels like eating pani poori , automatically, the rest of us could sense it and we all immediately bump on to a chat bandhar and spend fun time together. If one of us feels like watching a beautiful girl walk on the road , the rest of us get alert immediately and start pulling his leg! I miss all of them. We are now working/studying in different places and we still stay in contact. And they really are my best friends because , they liked me for what I am. Not what I have!

Pavan Tupuri and Swathi are my best friends because they are , in their own way, " as damaged as me!"

I have a similar thought process , that of what pavan has and I have similar sensing process , that of what swathi has! Making them very special to me! They are best friends because , we have no expectations on each other while we were becoming friends. And we will not have any.

And above all, they have some similar qualities which I bear. Like, trying to be different from others, being in a misconception that " I am always right, " trying to be on the top , but ending up some where in the bottom, trying to be a super man/woman who saves the day etc! They both are just like me!

Bala krishna, the one who made me realize the important of music and filled in some talent in me. He always wanted me to be on heights and become a great musician. Unfortunately today I am an Engineer. But his motivation is still filled in me. He still visits my home yearly once, with out fail, just to see me. In return I did not do any thing for him. He does not expect any thing. He just , " is there " for me anytime!

All the ones whom I have mentioned above, they are my friends for NO REASON!! No profit !!

No benefit! They are just my BEST FRIENDS!! The only reason why they are my best friends is because , they are my friends for NO REASON!!
